Mid-def versus High-def Liposuction: Patient Selection and Different Techniques | WebClinic 2023

This WebClinic was recorded live on October 18, 2023, and is approximately 60 minutes.

Topic:  Mid-def vs. High-def Liposuction: Patient Selection and Different Techniques
Speaker: Wilbur Hah, MD, FAACS
Moderator: Ehab Akkary, MD, FAACS, FACS

Mid-definition and High-definition liposuction cases are very gratifying for both the client and surgeon. This procedure is often used to precisely enhance the natural definition of muscles of the abdomen, chest, back, and arms in a 360-degree fashion using VASER liposelection techniques. By removing fat deposits in target areas while fat grafting to other areas, we can selectively create a more toned and sculpted body appearance than traditional liposuction. Correct patient selection is important in these cases. We will also discuss what “hardware” and “software” updates/skills are highly recommended for the high-def surgeon to acquire. Preoperative markings and surgical techniques will be presented. Specific mid-def and high-def cases will be discussed to promote doing these advanced liposelection techniques in a safe and effective fashion.
