Daria Hamrah, DMD, FAACS, FADSA

Dr. Hamrah grew up in Cologne, Germany and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the prestigious Johannes-Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany. He graduated at the top of his class with honors. Following graduation, he moved to Boston, MA to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship in Oral Pathology at Harvard University. His training focused primarily on head and neck cancer.

After Harvard, Dr. Hamrah continued his training at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Loyola University of Chicago and Loyola University Medical Center, where he completed Anesthesia and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internships. Dr. Hamrah then spent four vigorous years training under the world-renowned surgeon Dr. Robert E. Marx at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. His training included a heavy emphasis on tumor and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck.

Dr. Hamrah completed a fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery with the UT Southwestern Medical School. This fellowship involved an entire year devoted to only cosmetic surgery of the face. This separates Dr. Hamrah from the majority of other cosmetic surgeons, as most are not fellowship trained. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and he holds a Cosmetic Surgery Procedures Certification and License from the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Health Professions. Dr. Hamrah focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the head and neck and has been engaged in the oral and maxillofacial surgery field for the past 18 years. He is one of few maxillofacial surgeons to hold a license to practice Facial Cosmetic Surgery in the state of Virginia. Further, Dr. Hamrah has full Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and facial plastic/cosmetic surgery privileges at Virginia Hospital Center (formerly Arlington Hospital) and is on active staff in the Department of Surgery.

Dr. Hamrah is also the one of the co-founders of “Alegria” a foundation for cleft, lip and palate and travels to Colombia annually to perform charity surgery for indigent children with facial deformities. The Consumers’ Research Council of America voted Dr. Hamrah as one of America’s top surgeons. Dr. Hamrah is licensed to practice oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as Facial Cosmetic Surgery in Virginia.

Mohsen Naraghi, MD

Dr. Mohsen Naraghi is a clinical board faculty of Tehran University with academic postgraduate teaching experience in rhinology and facial plastic surgery since 1994.

He ranked first among all the graduates of medicine, awarded first in the National Comprehensive Medical Examinations and graded first in the National Board Examinations in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery after which, he continued his training in facial plastic surgery and rhinology fellowship and became fellow of the European Board of ORL-HNS.

The national award for the best research in surgery was presented to Dr. Naraghi. He was also granted the international award for excellence in the category of innovation in clinical medicine. Mohsen Naraghi was winner of the international award of the American Rhinologic Society. Dr. Naraghi is the fellow of American Rhinology Society and member of American Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery. He is currently the president of the Rhinology Research Society.

More than three hundred articles and chapters in rhinology and facial plastic surgery including eighty international papers were published by Dr. Naraghi. He has instructed in more than fifrty courses, hands-on and live surgery workshops on endoscopic surgery,rhinoplastyand facial plastic surgery throughout the world including rhinoplasty courses in the American Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Meetings.

Dr. Naraghi has published seventeen books in the fields of rhinology and facial plastic surgery, including two-volume comprehensive rhinology textbook. He was also bestowed the title of “The Best Academic Book of the Year” in 2007, entitled “Facial Plastic Surgery”.

Masoud Saman, MD

Dr. Masoud Saman is a double board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon. His rigorous education encompasses advanced training in both facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery as well as cancer surgery of the head, neck and face. Dr. Saman is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and currently serves as the Medical Director of Head and Neck Oncologic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Medical City Plano. In addition, Dr. Saman serves as faculty for the only accredited facial plastic surgery training program in DFW. At Saman ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery, Dr. Saman provides an extensive list of procedures and treatments to both enhance the aesthetic appearance of his patients and treat specific medical conditions.

After graduating with his Bachelor’s of Science in neuroscience, Dr. Saman completed medical school in San Antonio, TX, during which time he was granted the prestigious National Institutes of Health fellowship to participate in scientific research at Harvard Medical School. Upon graduation, Dr. Saman completed his internship in general surgery at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers. He then finished his residency training in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in Manhattan, NY where he apprenticed with world-renowned plastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, oral surgeons, and head and neck surgeon. Dr. Saman returned to Texas to pursue further training in a combined facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and head and neck oncologic surgery fellowship, for which he currently serves as a teaching faculty member.

Dr. Saman has published extensively in medical literature and has lectured nationally. His techniques in facial trauma surgery have been published by the Journal of American Medical Association Facial Plastic Surgery and he has authored the authoritative chapter on the correction of post-traumatic deformities in the Atlas of Operative Maxillofacial Trauma Surgery, Vol. II, edited by Dr. Mike Perry of Ireland. Dr. Saman is also a member of the AO North America, which is dedicated to the multi-disciplinary training of surgeons in the management of the craniomaxillofacial skeleton. He is passionate about medical philanthropy and has been a volunteer surgeon for many international mission trips for cleft lip and palate (most recently in Peru). He provides pro-bono facial reconstructive surgery to victims of domestic violence in partnership with Hope’s Door Inc. in Plano, TX.

Carey J. Nease, MD

Dr. Nease is a triple board-certified, fellowship-trained, facial plastic and cosmetic surgeon who performs a wide range of procedures with an exceptional talent in aesthetic surgery for the face and neck. Dr. Nease is well known for his expertise in facial plastic and cosmetic surgery.

Having trained as an artist before turning to medicine, Dr. Nease is renowned for his unique ability to paint beautiful portraits with his hands. With 20 years of experience, he has performed more than 10,000 surgical procedures.

Dr. Nease is triple board-certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.

He’s known for his experience, artistry, skill, and technique in these popular procedures: face and neck lifts, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, breast augmentation, breast lift, liposuction, tummy tucks, Botox® and fillers, laser skin resurfacing, and other cosmetic surgery procedures.

He regularly provides lectures and presentations to peers across the country and trains surgeons from around the world in the latest techniques in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Nease was an instructor for the facial rejuvenation course sponsored by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) in 2012.  He was also an instructor for the New and Established Techniques in Breast and Body Contouring Workshop in St. Louis, MO. Additionally, Dr. Nease performs surgery at practices in Fort Meyers, FL and Nashville, TN.

He’s been a highly respected teacher at AACS-sponsored workshops for over 10 years, and he presided as Co-Chairman of the AACS fall symposium of cosmetic surgery in Hawaii in the fall of 2011. He has been invited to lecture at the World Academy of Cosmetic Surgery meeting in London, England in September of 2019. His research has been published in numerous aesthetic surgical journals and he has contributed to several textbooks on complete facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty. He was honored with the Best of the Best Cosmetic Surgeon Award for seven consecutive years in Chattanooga, TN and the North Georgia area. Dr. Nease is a trustee of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the 2018 President of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery (ABFCS), and current Treasurer of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Robert A. Shumway, MD, FACS

San Diego, CA board-certified facial plastic and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Robert A. Shumway is the Medical Director and chief surgeon at Shumway Cosmetic Surgery. Accredited cosmetic surgery practice focuses on modern body shaping and facial rejuvenation techniques for both women and men. For more than 20+ years, Dr. Shumway has personally guided each patient in choosing the most appropriate procedures to achieve their cosmetic goals of the face, breast, body, and skin. He is fellowship trained and double board certified (by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology). Dr. Shumway is a diplomate on six medical boards, plus a fellow of both the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (where he was a past president).

Having studied pre-med and chemistry at Brigham Young University, Dr. Shumway went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. He majored in zoology, had the opportunity to perform laboratory research in their developmental biology program, and graduated cum laude. Before earning his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Dr. Shumway was involved with laboratory research in the department of surgery, working with patients and surgical wound healing. He went on to earn medical degrees in general surgery and thoracic surgery at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Shumway was also honored to have a residency in head and neck surgery, and facial and plastic reconstructive surgery at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Shumway is well-known for performing the transumbilical breast augmentation (TUBA) implant placement technique, which is a unique way of inserting saline breast implants through the navel without scarring the breast. Only a handful of surgeons in the country are skilled at this procedure, and Dr. Shumway was the first surgeon to perform the TUBA in Europe in the summer of 2018.

Jon D. Perenack, MD, DDS

Dr. Perenack brings an artist's eye and a compassionate ear to each and every consultation with his patients. Board certified by two surgical specialties, his impressive credentials include numerous articles and chapters in books and journals, as well as being a nationally recognized lecturer in the field of cosmetic surgery. As an artist, Dr. Perenack has displayed oil paintings in both the U.S. and Canada. The human face and figure have always been his greatest interest.

Dr. Perenack's practice is almost solely devoted to facial cosmetic surgery. He has received board certification from both the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery in Facial Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Perenack completed fellowship training at the prestigious Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center in Texas in 2003. Previously, he completed a six-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial in New Orleans at LSU Health Sciences Center. He completed medical school at LSU - New Orleans with honors as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Following his deep love of cosmetic surgery, and his interest in sharing his knowledge with other surgeons, Dr. Perenack became a full-time faculty member of the LSU Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2003. He served as the Director of Residency Training from 2005 to the summer of 2014. Dr. Perenack is uniquely qualified in facial cosmetic areas including but not limited to rhinoplasty, facelifts, necklifts, eyelid lifts, browlifts, facial implants, lip augmentation and fat transfers.

Mohan Thomas, MD, FACS

Dr. Mohan Thomas is an American Trained and Board Certified Facial and General Cosmetic Surgeon and is also a Fellow of AACS. Dr. Thomas has made significant contributions to the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery literature including more than 50 publications in all known peer reviewed publications such as PRS, ASJ, JPRAS, IJPS, Journal of Oral and Maxillo facial surgery and Clinics of North America. He has also published many chapters in books titled 'Integrative procedures in facial cosmetic surgery', 'Aesthetic and Regenerative Gynaecology' among others and edited by the pioneers in the field. Dr. Thomas has also been contracted to edit a 6- volume Surgical Manual on Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine to be published by Springer International shortly.

Dr. Thomas is an innovator and teacher and participates in all the major international conferences so as to impart this knowledge to his peers and students. He offers a prestigious Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship (4) in India through the University which has a wait of 4 years. He has clocked over 9000 hours of continued medical education and has delivered over 500 lectures in the last 20 years.
