Educational Need

A Brazilian butt lift is a specialized fat transfer procedure that augments the size and shape of the buttocks without implants. Excess fat is removed from the hips, abdomen, lower back, or thighs with liposuction, and a portion of this fat is then strategically injected into the buttocks. Due to this rapid increase, cosmetic surgeons must be aware of BBL protocols and updated patient safety guidelines.

Learning Objectives

  • Define Brazilian butt lift (BLL).
  • List three benefits to a BLL.
  • List three BLL side effects.
  • Review BBL cosmetic surgery protocols.
  • Review BBL patient safety guidelines.
