Speaker
Jacob Haiavy, MD
Dr. Jacob Haiavy is a well-known cosmetic surgeon in Southern California. As the previous president of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Haiavy is also a well-regarded surgeon by his peers, loves to teach, and has authored several scientific and medical journal articles for leading publications in cosmetic surgery and breast revision.
Dr. Haiavy lectures nationwide on cosmetic surgery. Over the years, he has taught many live surgery workshops for facial, breast, and body cosmetic surgery and has also authored chapters in clinical textbooks in regard to facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Haiavy has been recognized by his peers for his dedication to public safety in cosmetic surgery and education along with research to improve patient outcomes. He is also a volunteer assistant clinical professor at Loma Linda University.
Dr. Haiavy is dedicated to the field of cosmetic surgery and has been previously elected as a member of the board of trustees for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery Foundation. He has been on the examining board, where he has served as a board examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. With his desire to teach, improve patient safety and improve patient satisfaction and results in cosmetic surgery, Dr. Haiavy has formed an AACS accredited cosmetic surgery fellowship program that accepts two outstanding surgeons a year.
Dr. Haiavy graduated from New York University with the Alumni Medal for the highest scholastic average for four years. He attended Mount Sinai Medical School in New York, continuing there with an internship in General Surgery. Following his residency, Dr. Haiavy gained acceptance to a general cosmetic surgery fellowship in Texas with Howard Tobin, M.D., former president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. After completion of the fellowship, he moved to Southern California and has been practicing in the Rancho Cucamonga, Victoville, and Eastvale areas ever since.
